UPSC ESE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
Alternative Qualifications: Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India), Graduate Membership Examination of IETE (India), or equivalent qualifications specified in the rules.
Appearing Candidates: Final-year engineering students can apply provisionally. Proof of passing must be uploaded within 10 days after the declare of Main Exam results.

Selection Process & Examination Pattern
Selection for UPSC ESE 2027 involves a three-stage competitive process totaling 1,300 marks:
Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) — 500 Marks
- Paper-I: General Studies and Engineering Aptitude (2 Hours, 200 Marks)
